Our Staff Training Programme

Every member of our team completes a comprehensive induction and ongoing training programme aligned to the Children's Homes Quality Standards.

Trauma-Informed Care

All staff trained in understanding trauma, ACEs and their impact on child development and behaviour.

Positive Behaviour Support

Proactive, evidence-based behaviour support strategies embedded across the whole team.

Safeguarding & Child Protection

Regular Level 3 safeguarding training and mandatory refreshers for every team member.

DoLS Awareness

Training in Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards to ensure lawful, rights-based practice.

Therapeutic Approaches

Introduction to therapeutic models including attachment theory, Theraplay principles and restorative practice.

Team Teach / De-escalation

Accredited de-escalation and positive handling training to support young people safely.

First Aid

All staff hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate and are trained in emergency procedures.

Mental Health Awareness

MHFA-informed training enabling staff to recognise and respond to mental health needs in young people.
